A word about self-publishing: The number of manuscripts competing for attention from publishing editors is colossal - and growing. If you have a great book and don't want to wait to be discovered, self-publishing is a good option. To succeed with self-publishing, you need good marketing skills as well as a well written story. If you're interested in self-publishing, there are numerous publishers available. Some are better than others; be sure to check them out thoroughly before making your choice. I highly recommend my publisher, Xulon Press. Their staff is always helpful and they now offer additional services such as editing and publicity/marketing packages. And look at the fantastic book covers!
